Happy Holidays to everyone from Planet Banimon! Lots of exciting stuff on tap for the new year, but first we take one last look at the Banigoth war machine.

Since the ascendancy of the Great Banigoth and his military reform of The Horde, all of the Banigoth warriors fight under one of the 10 Banners. Each Banigoth Banner is more then just a unit designation, it is a self-sustaining army under it's own commander, capable of campaigning on enemy terrain for an extended period of time. Banigoth Banners can act independently or in concert, and each warrior will take orders only from his own Banner Commander or the Great Banigoth himself.

Update: All orders from the Bestiary release shipping today.

12.14.2011
Thanks to everyone who helped support the Banimon Bestiary project. We weren't sure what to expect, but the response has been very positive, and only a few sets remain. In the meantime, looks like Tesla has been doing some serious modifications to his ride...but will it be enough? Speedy car chases and flashy laser blasts coming to the Planet in 2012!!!

12.10.2011

The official Auspicious Joy Brand Planet Banimon Bestiary card set is officially launched, and can be purchased in the Banimon Store. This run is limited to 30 sets total.

12.6.2011
As Planet Banimon nears a decade of existence, an overdue shout out to the original Reject crew of forgotten misfits. And while some of us are not as tight or as in-touch these days as we once were, this project would have never taken off without contributions from these guys. Thank you.

12.3.2011
The final four plates from the Banimon Bestiary, including the old friend El Zero Robocide, who battled WMD FuelRocket in Banimon #3. The BB card project will launch a week from today, Saturday December 10 at 7pm, barely in time for the holidays.

Along with the Bestiary cards, we will be having some new limited run items available at the store for the launch, and that's a sign of things to come in the coming year. We will be doing several very small runs of clothing (20-30 pieces max), but making each one special, and slightly different. Finally a note wishing our good friend and Destroy Babylon/Onell Design workhorse Marcus a fun European tour. At least it's December, so he won't be coming back with a tan to make the rest of us staying here feel even more jealous....

11.26.2011
Some more plates from the Banimon Bestiary, featuring some familiar faces. Ma-Idi has appeared on the pages of Banimon #2, while The Great Vespillo and The Count first showed up as animated characters some years back. Only four more plates to go, and we are finalizing packaging of the card sets here at the shop....

11.22.2011
The aforementioned awesome Warp Bikes are live on Callgrim.com but then Jesse went and kicked it up a few noches with some very cool updates to the entire site. Make sure to check out the updated Media section with some more back story on Callgrim and Riac, as well as some amazing new art, wallpaper, icons as well as a link to Callgrim's guest appearance on the Glyaxia game, in case you missed it the first time around.

11.15.2011
Yup, the rumours are true, and the roads will never be safe again. The tireless Jesse Moore has come up with another beast, the awesome, Rig-compatible vinyl Warp Bike. The paint applications you see here are production, and it's about as far as I've seen factory paint pushed in a long time. To complete this beauty, each bike comes with a rider, either Callgrim or Riac. Next Monday November 21st, head on over to the Callgrim Store to get yours, because it's officially open season on pedestrians!!!

11.11.2011
As the wait for our newest recruit intensifies over here on Planet Banimon, here are a few more plates from the Banimon Bestiary.

11.4.2011
More from the Banimon Bestiary.....

10.30.2011
Banimon Bestiary card set project is on track. A quick look at some more monsters that at one time or another roamed the Planet. We should be posting a release update in the coming weeks.....

10.25.2011
Finally got around to posting the Banimon Grand Prix on YouTube. As a bonus, there is a second version up there as well, the only difference between the two being a slight variation of the soundtrack. Hope you enjoy...

10.20.2011
Who is Fukara? First introduced on the pages of Banimon #1, he is seen in the shadows as a close associate of Tesla and Oracle, charged with maintaining fighting health of Subzeroes as the official team doctor. What is perhaps less known is that Fukara is a truly brilliant surgeon, responsible for many miraculous operations, including repeatedly stitching up Tok-Tok's mysterious nemesis (see Tok-Tok's Search).

Originally from the Underwater City, Fukara has worked for Oracle for a number of years. After the fist conquest of Tesla Mountain, he was retained by the Great Banigoth because of his legendary skill with the scalpel. Rumours of some of the subsequent experiments he did on behalf of his new masters are chilling, as new, fearsome mutants emerged from his lab to join the Banigoth war machine. While never considered a genius of Tesla's stature, Fukara nevertheless picked up enough during their brief association to be able to co-opt some of the former's experiments into his own work. But is he now truly loyal to the Banigoth, or is he driven by a more personal motive?

10.14.2011
Inspired by the "Bestiary", a medeival book with illustrations of (then) known (and imagined) creatures, we are working on a card set that will be the definitive lexicon of all Planet Banimon Kaiju. You already know Ma-Idi the mountain monster and the two fearles giant robo fighters, El Zero Robocide and WMD FuelRocket, but there's plenty more competition for the biggest and the baddest of the Planet...

10.11.2011
We will not be at the NYCC this year, breaking a streak of five consecutive appearances, but we are planning a return on a grander scale next year. In the meantime, if you are going make sure to stop by booth #578 to check what our friends from Onell Design and their guests have on tap.

10.7.2011
The model after the Banillac Spider 3700, was the special limited edition Spider 3900, popularly known as the Gamgsta Mod. It featured upgraded engine, shields and cannons, as well as a hefty pricetag meant truly for the royalty of the Planet. Only 20 were ever produced, with about half finding their way to Tesla Mountain, where the man himself, Tesla took a special liking to them, making them a centerpiece of his reasearch into developing spacecraft.

10.3.2011
As far as old-school rides of Planet Banimon go, Banillac is, well, the Cadillac of them all, and none moreso then the Spider 3700 Edition, featuring bulletproof glass and double-plated steel armour. A long-standing favorite with the Planet underworld, his trusty old can is not as fast as some of the rides out there, but it's virtually indestructible at close quarters. You can test drive one of these beauties yourself on Banimon TV (click on Channel 2, and then select the car to play the game.

10.1.2011
A good example of what the Planet Banimon Gearheads will do to pimp their rides is the Vulture Princess Mod Edition. This is probably the single most infamous street-(barely)legal vehicle on the Planet, operated by Princess herself and responsible for many "accidents" out there. Curious tidbit: the origin of famous Planet Banimon folk saying "If it's fast and pink you'll be dead in a blink" is also associated with this particular vehicle.

9.25.2011
Another highly coveted classic, The Vulture was designed by Tesla as a standard issue vehicle for Oracle's minions, the Subzeros. Because and average Subzero is kind of a dumb creature, the vehicle is extremely easy to operate. Same goes for the weapons, which in spite of their user-friendly design pack a decent punch. Decomissioned after the fall of Tesla Mountain, it is not unusual for the few remaining Vultures that can still be found on the market to fetch an astronomic price from a savvy Planet Banimon collector.

9.19.2011
Since we're dusting off the old car park, no accounting into the airborne technology and vehicles of the Banimon Wars would be complete without a look at Shitfire TV-43 Bronco. This extremely fast and manouverable fighter pilot is also amphibious, with both surface and limited submarine capabilities. The Bronco model was so popular that it infiltrated the civilian fashion as well, being especially highly sought after among the elite of the Underwater City due to it's amphibious qualities.

9.12.2011
Some months back we looked at the WarTower, the vehicle that is the staple of the Banigoth military. After the Battle of Tesla Mountain, the Revolutionaries took a cue from their nemesis and started developing their own air force. The result is the fearsome Gorki List Pesikan, a truly remarkable 1-seater craft. Though inferior in close combat, the speed and manouverability of Pesikan easily outstrips its Banigoth counterpart, and as a result it has quickly caught on as a favorite of the Revolutionary pilots. Gorki List Pesikan comes in two basic models, the standard Interceptor, and the Commander mod, outfitted with bigger guns and thicker armour for the special personal use of El General.

9.5.2011
The Banimon crew would like to take a moment and thank everyone for such a positive response to the Banimon Grand Prix release. We really try to go the extra mile for every single project we do, but as some of you already know this one was extra personal, and the fact that so many folks seem to be on the same wavelength with our crazy little crew feels just great. In the works is another mini-update to the store by the end of the year, and then we're planning to go underground for a bit to work on the next installment of the Banimon saga (format as yet still undefined) and the long-overdue Rocket North relaunch.

9.1.2011
Banimon Grand Prix is LIVE!!! You can check out the movie here (soon to be available on YouTube as well) and the new items are all at the store. New for this release: Getto Rockets are now available as half-sets, meaning you get five of each color and no game cards, a nod to those who are interested in the plastic more than the game. There are also some new t-shirts and shop rags with the Banimon Grand Prix theme. We hope you like, drop us a line if you have any comments (or find that something is not working).

8.31.2011
Tomorrow..........................................

8.28.2011
The Banimon Grand Prix release is a go!!! The race will be happening this Thursday September 1st at 8pm. As announced, there will be a new look at the Getto Rockets (they will be packaged a little differently this time around, plus some all-new paint jobs), Rejects and Subzero t-shirts and racing gear, and of course a special animated installment of Banimon Grand Prix, featuring original (and killer as usual) music by Nikola Radan of Clash of Civilizations. The story is a slight variation on the printed version, but the storytelling format should be a departure from what we've done before.

Anyway, after many weeks of preparations, we are very excited about this one, hope you will be as well.

8.24.2011
New Onell drop is scheduled for this Friday, August 26th, featuring some new Glyan Corps, an all new Rig wing extension and an exciting crossover with The Four Horsemen, among other goodies. Check out on the Glyos blog for more updates and pictures.

8.20.2011
Another sneak preview from the upcoming Banimon Grand Prix release.....

8.18.2011
The Inaugural Banimon Grand Prix is now a famous event in the history of Banimon Games, but at the time nobody could be sure the race would even take place. A midnight ruling from the PBBRA (Planet Banimon Bumper Racing Association) ended a negotiation stalemate and effectively unified all planetary circuits and paved the way towards the modern Banimon Grand Prix we know today. Special safety provisions had to be put in place amidst fears of hooliganism. The PBBRA ruling brought two largest and most violent supporter groups, diehard fans of Subzeroes and Rejects together to the same arena for the first time since the Riots of '38, and the atmosphere was explosive.....

8.16.2011
A sneak from the upcoming launch....

8.8.2011
We are working feverishly on the upcoming release, centered around Banimon Grand Prix. There will be some archival footage of BGP from back in the silent film era), new colors and configurations for Getto Rockets, some updated clothing items for the store, and as usual a surprise or two. You can check back for updates here, right now we're looking at the end of August for the launch.

7.31.2011
This is a detail from the now-lost painting recording the Battle of Tesla Mountain (not to be confused with the 1st and 2nd Invasion of Tesla Mountain) between the Banigoth and the Red Army. The painting is believed to contain important clues as to who actually won the said battle, and gives an insight into the battle tactics of both sides. Other information on the topic is scarce, as both sides subsequently claimed victory, and given the fact that the Mountain itself was destroyed during the event, burying beneath it Tesla's laboratory, along with it's network of intricate tunels and priceless machinery. But soon.........

7.21.2011
If you are lucky enough to be at the San Diego Comic Con right now, make sure to stop by booth #4937 to check out the Global Figure Symposium '11 for some of the most innovative independent toy design out there. Our friends from Onell and Rawshark will be there, along with L'Amour Supreme, Paul Kaiju, The Tarantulas and more. More info can be obtained by going directly to the well here.

7.17.2011
Continuing with the intermittent theme of the recent Banigoth history, we harken back to the days of the Conquest of the East Bank. The Great Banigoth had assumed control of the tribe thru a short but bloody civil war, and in order to strenghten his base, he decided to divert the efforts of the entire Horde towards expansionist policy. At this time, an average Banigoth warrior was a finely tuned, battle-hardened veteran that had no peer in the known world, their talent for war only matched by their thirst for blood. The conquest was a forgone conclusion, establishing a number of Banigoth strongholds on the East Bank, and making this dangerous tribe a permanent fixture on the map of Planet Banimon. All resistance was crushed mercilessly, though the Great Banigoth had agreed to award a special status to the settlement at Tesla Mountain for it's contribution to scientific growth (such as it was) of the Horde. The Mountain was spared, but the Great Banigoth had second-guessed his decision over the years, often threatening to subdue the settlement if ever given the right pretext. So this uneasy ballance in the East continued leading up to the very days of the now-legendary first game of Banimon Hockey (see Banimon #1), when the Banigoth would once again burst onto the scene.

Getto Rockets are back

7.7.2011
The long awaited Callgrim Custom Corps 1 drops tomorrow (Friday). This one has been many months in the works, but well worth the wait, and you won't want to miss it. During my frequent stops at Jesse's studio over the past few weeks, I was constantly amazed at the quality of craftsmanship and just sheer imagination that went into every single one of these little guys.

7.3.2011
As we're approaching the 4th of July fireworks, it seems appropriate to dust out an old favorite of the Banigoth war machine - the WarTower catapult. Powered by the lightning technology that is the staple of Banigoth, this weird looking vehicle is actually a combination of two ancient concepts - a catapult and a war chariot. Bombs away!!!!

Banigoth WarTower

6.28.2011
Found this today while browsing the Internet. For those of you who are fans of Path of the Assassin, classic samurai manga of Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima, it's a goldmine. I'd purchased the whole series as it came out a few years back, but a couple of moves after, I'm missing about half of it. Since I re-read those quite often, I'd missed them terribly, yet couldn't get myself to buy them yet again - so here they are (minus a few missing pages) online!!!

Banigoth Medals6.14.2011
Another sneak peak from the upcoming Banimon Scrolls, this time we are looking at the Banigoth war medals. The war medals are extremely important in the world of Banigoth, as they serve not only to commemorate success and valor in battle, but they are also only currency accepted in the Banigoth-held territories. Nonetheless, as in general the Banigoth prefer plunder to trade of any kind, they still change hands very rarely, and are considered extremely valuable as such. Banigoth medals are worn exclusively on parade, as they are heavy and can be cumbersome in battle. They are awarded personally by Great Banigoth himself, and are particularly significant because they usually preceed promotion, advancement and other honors, as was the case after the conquest of the East Bank, when an unusually high number of these medals were given away due to the particularly gruesom carnage exercised by the Banigoth troops during this war.

This summer we will continue to put more of a spotlight on the martial culture of the Banigoth, their origins, motives behind their ruthless conquest and finally, their epic rivalry with the Revolutionary Armies that has been kicked off with the Battle of Tesla Mountain.

6.8.2011
Banimon Grand Prix will be coming back this month as a new-format Flash motion comic pilot. Now while the term "motion comics" has quickly come to be associated with that awful recycling of print comics that Marvel and friends do - please don't expect nothing of a sort. We think that the industry can do a lot better, and that this is a medium whose surface has only been scratched - today, there are already some independent creators whose online and interactive comics have gone much beyond, and we are looking forward to seeing more, and bringing our own humble contributions to the table as well.

Anyway, this version of Banimon Grand Prix will be a bit of a tribute to the silent film era, and while it's safe to say that it will never be confused with Battleship Potemkin, we are hoping that the different formats and traditions we're merging together here will present some new ideas, and a jumpoff for some future stuff...

Kaiju Big Battel6.1.2011
In the Shadow of Cube...

This weekend in Vegas, our friend Pheyden will be pounding it out at the Kaiju Big Battel. Good luck to the space traveller, and here's hoping he puts aside his pacifist ways for a little while and kicks some serious monster ass!

In Banimon news, it's been a busy summer, we are working on some more webcomics, a different version of the Banimon Grand Prix and a long awaited update to the Store.

Golden Warrior5.28.2011
More from the Banimon Scrolls... A strange warrior appeared shortly after the First Awakening, dressed all in scarlet and glowing as if made of pure gold. The tales of heroic exploits of the Golden Warrior are told to this day and form an unforgettable part of the Banigoth Lore. Like a powerful demon of war, the Golden Warrior inspires the Banigoth Horde to victory in war.

In the Underwater City however, a different story of this mysterious entity is told. He is remembered as some kind of a post-apocalyptic hero whose wisdom and instruction was the key to moving the population into the new colonies, and ultimately preserving intelligent life after the devastation of the Great War and the Lunacy Plagues.

It would seem that the Golden Warrior appears only in times of great trouble, but then again - he may not even be real!

5.22.2011
Getto Rocket sets have been restocked in the store. Also, Monday the 23rd between 3-4pm, Clash of Civilizations will be interviewed on WBUR, so check it out....

Baby Banigoth5.19.2011
Since the recent discovery of the Banimon Scrolls, the usually withdrawn high priest Astrogoth has come into focus somewhat. Nobody knows where he really came from, or how old he is. What is common knowledge is his role as strategist in the Conquest of the East Bank and the First Invasion of Tesla Mountain, but he was also instrumental as a mentor and spiritual guide to the Great Banigoth during his formattive years. In those days, there were no guarantees the Banigoth would even survive, much less turn into an invincible, blood-thirsty horde that they became a short time later. Often overlooked in the subsequent legends that glorify Great Banigoth, the mysterious high priest Astrogoth enjoys great trust of his leader even if most of his plans are known only to himself. Read more about Astrogoth or other key Banimon characters here.

Banimon Genesis5.14.2011
More on the First Awakening... This is a diagram taken from the Banimon Scrolls, the single most important relic of the Banigoth Horde. The Banimon Scrolls are a collection of eyewitness accounts of the First Awakening, prophecies, occult recepies, mysterious drawings and spiritual poetry.

The Banigoth high priest Astrogoth is in charge of the Scrolls, and does his utmost to keep the legends of the First Awakening everpresent in the collective memory of the Banigoth People. He is currently working on a web-friendly version that will make this fascinating material available to an even wider audience, though his lack of familiarity with the new media has proven a hindrance. As soon as he's made any progress however, you will be able to read about it on this very blog!!!

5.3.2011
Well, we survived the Boston Comic Con... Actually, it wasn't all that hard, having it local made it so much easier to get a good night sleep and not have to rely on insane amounts of caffeine to make it through the day. In the past, I was critical of the smaller local shows, because they felt very dealer-oriented, with not enough space or emphasis given to independent creators and studios. Well, this time the vibe was right, and it was a pleasure to see that the local scene is alive and well, and meet some truly amazing and creative people from the area. It is going to be fun to see where they take it next. We shared the booth with Jesse and the Callgrim posse, which is always an event within an event, and also a special shout out to my man Jason who came thru with Kamishibai2000. His unusual ideas and general mastery over the digital realm will be a crutial component of what we are preparing for you next.....

TFPB Boston Indie Podcast is up, Banimon gets an honorable mention at the very end.
They also review the elusive, and by now legendary Gear's Edge comic and Compendium by Matt Doughty and Jesse Moore, also towards the end of the podcast. There are a bunch of other cool creators and projects reviewed, gonna have to make a trip to the local comic shop soon and pick some of this stuff up to add to the library. Check it out...

3.23.2011
We are officially on for the Boston Comic Con, April 31- May 1, 2011 at the Hynes Convention Center.
Needless to say we're thrilled to do a local show after a long time, and it's going to be great to see what the whole scene has been up to - these cons are always a great source of inspiration. As usual, other then the Banimon crew there will also be some of our friends and collaborators at the table - actual final lineup (and show surprises/exclusives) TBA.

3.19.2011
The Great Banimon Experiment
is an event shrouded in mystery. Deep in the bowels of his secret lab, Tesla had built up a machine capable of harnessing the legendary power of Banimon. For what purpose or how it was built has remained a secret. Whatever Tesla was looking for however, he did not find that day - the primary experiment was branded a failure, one of many that usually preceed great discoveries. But the story is told that on the night of the Great Experiment, a strange side effect took place - the awesome power of Banimon actually gave a breath of life to the handful of machinery surrounding it, creating an entire new species of Planet Banimon dwellers.

For years, these suddenly smart machines had to bide for time, locked together like steelbound siamese twins in a perfect embrace that ran like clockwork but was never meant to be mobile. The solution was frustratingly simple, a handful of the right parts could unlock this metal web and get the first few mobile robots going, and then it was just a question of time before they could complete the necessary modifications so each one of these mechanic souls could have it's own body. Once the process was underway, the possibilities to upgrade their original body parts and functions would be truly limitless. All they needed was a push. But to ask for help could mean destruction for all of them, so their mechanical minds outright rejected the odds and never considered taking the chance to make their presence known.

They preferred to wait instead, intelligent minds performing same repetitive task day after day, hoping for the day the liberation would come on it's own.

3.16.2011
Wow...This latest trip was a killer, 3 continents, 2 time zones and 9 airplanes changed in total over the past two weeks.
As the smoke clears, we are resuming work on some projects with some new/old friends. Best way to recover is playing with some more Glyos-inspired madness, working on some custom builds using standard parts and a few custom heads, sculpting with and fighting with the Mighty Putty (R.I.P. Billy Mays), and finally breaking into our own stash of the Apocalypse Buildmen/Axis joints that have been patiently waiting to be played with for over a month. Anyway, it really brings home just how flexible the whole Glyos system is, because using only standard pieces, three custom heads and a little bit of paint i was able to make 5 totally recognizable Banimon characters (even though Tesla is looking suspiciously like Mario and Luigi's long-lost ancestor. Surely just a coincidence?). More to come.........

Shipping update #2...
The remainder of the Apocalypse orders have gone out today, thanks everyone for your patience!

2.21.2011
Shipping update...
About half of the orders from the latest Apocalypse drop have gone out this weekend, the other half should follow shortly..... We'll post another update here when everything has been mailed out....

On another note, Getto Rockets have now sold out from the Banimon Shop (Thank you!!!). We will be making some more and restocking the Shop, hopefully to coincide with another, larger drop in a few months' time.

2.18.2011
The new Glyos drop is TODAY!
Go over to the Onell website tonite - and make sure you're there 9pm sharp, because this stuff sells out quickly!!! There is going to be a slew of goodies up for sale, and the colorways are as close as you can get to plastic candy without actually eating it. We are especially excited to see Argen, after reading about his gendrone-awakening adventures in the excellent online comic by Matt Doughty and Ralph Niese.

2.12.2011
We are busy preparing all the orders from the Apocalypse Buildman run, they should go out mid-to-end next week. Meanwhile, here's a little primer from our upcoming web comic, The Amazing Deda. Not sure where this is going, but I'm digging out old illustrations from one of my favorite books from childhood, The Good Soldier Svejk by Jaroslav Hasek, and it feels right for this.

2.6.2011
Thank you everyone!!!
The first drop of 2011 was a great success, thanks to you guys! The legendary Glyos community strikes again - all of the Axis Joints and Buildmen are gone, and there are only a few Header Card Paintings left as I write this. As always, it wasn't 100% smooth sailing (yes, the game bug has been fixed!) but we made it in one piece. We are already scheming the next round of Apocalypse-themed Glyos goodies, so stay tuned.

I want to take the time and also give a big thank you to Matt and Marc, who have supported this drop with every bit of care, patience and attention to detail that they put into each and every thing that they touch. So much of what they do behind the scenes doesn't get seen and yet it directly leads to Glyos being what it has become - one of the best toy lines out there period. I am lucky to be a tiny part of this, and to call these guys my friends.

2.5.2011
And we are LIVE!!!
The new drop is here. New update to Banimon TV (with access to the Secret Shop), Apocalypse Buildman and Apocalypse Axis joints, refresh the shop to see the new items. We have also added the old Shoot the Bunny game to the Banimon TV lineup as a bonus. So fire away!!!! NOTE: Axis Joints have sold out.

2.4.2011
Tomorrow...

2.3.2011
So here is the deal...
The new drop is this Saturday February 5th, 8pm EST. The lineup is Apokalypse Buildman, Apokalypse Axis Joints and a small surprise. There will also be a special update to Banimon TV to go along with the release - this is the conclusion of our webcomic Tok-Tok's search and in the spirit of ambiguity each user will get to decide the outcome of the Tok-Tok vs. Buildman throwdown for themselves.

If you've been watching the Norisar updates, you already know... New art, toys and content, and if the past is any indication, probably some wicked surprises. Get over there tonite and see if you can score some of the goodies for yourself. I know I can't wait to see what's in store... and in the Store.

The Legend of The Drain
On the northeastern end of the Planet Banimon (yeah, it's flat) becons the Frozen Lake and the harsh wilderness beyond. Not even the battle-hardened Banigoth will go that far, the risks are too many and the conditions too extreme. The lake has been known to flood in the summers past, with the waters reaching as far south as Tesla Mountain.

Long ago, before the Great War, a set of underground tunnels was built to help syphon the access water - only protection from the unpredictable streams. Known as The Drain, there is only one known way in, and nobody knows how far or wide the network of tunnels stretches, for those who dared to go in never came out. Now, as the iron circle of Great Banigoth's pursuit tightens around them, Tomao, Tesla and Banimon are faced with a difficult choice: descend into the legendary tunnels of The Drain to try and shake their pursuers, or remain on the surface and face the bounty dogs and angry legions of Banigoth sent to capture them.

A little late to post this, but just realised that the Headhunter Packs have been mentioned in Plastic and Plush.
These guys are one of our favorite sources of news about custom and designer toys, which is why it's a little embarassing (but still sweet) to have noticed the post almost a week later.

Woke up today to a very nice treat: a new review of Banimon #3 is up on the excellent Tales From The Parents Basement blog.
Amongst other things, the article gives a sneak preview into the upcoming Banimon X Callgrim collab, as well as an entirely too kind take on the actual comic. Check it out, and while you're there take a look around: they have a ton of well thought out, informative and fun reviews, articles and interviews. Many thanks to Jim and the TFPB crew, you guys rock!

Over the years, we have looked for inspiration in the weirdest of places. One particular source of it has been the Beijing Opera, and the traditional Chinese masks used in it, representing literally hundreds of characters from the rich history of China. In fact, those have heavily influenced the design for the Goalie, Princess and Subzero characters that appear in Banimon #1 and #2, along with some classic hockey masks, going back to pretzels of Jacques Plante and Gerry Cheevers. Well, we decided to do a little homage to those influences with our own set of "Banimonized" Beijing Opera masks. No plans for production, this one is just for fun!

Happy New Year to everyone on Planet Banimon!
This has been our best year yet, with the long-awaited release of Banimon #3 and the successful cycle of all three comics thru Diamond Comics Distributors, launch of Banimon TV, release of our first independent toy, the Getto Rocket, another couple of successful mini-collabs with our friends at Onell, Rawshark, Manifesto & Clash of Civilizations and the (open-ended) conclusion of our webcomic Tok-Tok's Search, which has run thru 50 issues and nearly two years. And needless to say all of this would be impossible without your ongoing support for this crazy project, so please accept our warmest thanks. Here's to having just as much fun, and getting even farther in 2011!
